Character Information
Character Name: Dr. W.D Gaster
Fandom: Undertale

Character History: Dr. Gaster is the Royal Scientist for Asgore. He is a brilliant scientist, and creates The Core, a massive magical and scientific complex that supplies power to the entire underground.

Gaster has kids! Sans and Papyrus. They all live in Hotland and everyone is happy.

Gaster... Has an accident. He falls into the Core, and is deleted from the timeline. No one remembers him, and Sans has very faint and incomplete memories. Gaster is scattered through time and space, everywhere and nowhere at the same time, all seeing but entirely helpless.

He occasionally interacts with the player, his followers admitting he is there with them, and a citizen of Waterfall commenting on the creepy person with the smile behind the player.

At some point on Sans lab, a drawing of a family is found, with the words "don't forget" scrawled on it.

Character Personality: There is little anyone knows of Gaster. Considering he isn't real anymore its hard to tell just what he was like, but we do get a few clues.

His followers usually spoke nothing but good about him, his genius and scientific ability. They would call it unparalled, so its safe to say that not only was he good at his job, but that he must have been likable, since no one could think of a bad thing to say about him.

Further, he must have been a decent parent, as Sans still had that drawing of them as the family, with the reminding words 'don't forget'. Sans and Papyrus turned out kind and fair, which means that even though they don't remember their father, he passed on good morals to them.

He must have wanted the best for the underground as well as he created something as powerful as The Core to power it, and he may have been around for the loss of Asriel, as Alphys admits to using old blueprints she had found in his personal lab and used it to make the DT extractor.

So with this in mind, he was a very intelligent, amicable, kind creature with good morals and great intelligence, who when the king lost his only son, was working on ways to possibly revive the dead prince before he met his terrible fate.

And considering the way his sprite chirps and vanishes when you interact with it, he may have been quite shy as well.

With these instances in mind we can reasonably gather that he was pleasant, smart, shy, empathetic and felt personal responsibility for his king and people. He did his best with what he had and tried to do right by those he loved. His followers clearly make it obvious that he finds his state horrifying, unable to die or leave the void, and that he misses his life the way it was before, feeling bitterness for his loss, and complete helplessness in his wish to help.

Powers and Abilities: Gaster no doubt has a Gaster Blaster, as per the name, but what else might he hold? His real powers are not fully elaborates on, save for unwilling Omnipotents and teleportation.

For the sake of brevity, he will be given similar powers to Sans, including super speed, blasters, a bone attack, and some gravity manipulation. He has very low defense and middling HP.

Gaster is very, very intelligent, and since there is never a mention of a mother for Sans and Papyrus, it could be inferred that Gaster created them with his soul alone.

I'm looking for a very specific metal alloy... I have not given it a name yet, I am afraid I was still in the process of studying it and hadn't found enough information for a proper title.

Its a mixture between basic steel and an exotic metal I found in a buried meteorite. If anyone happens to stumble on any fallen meteorites I'm the area, please contact me as soon as possible.

It was the only thing durable enough for the machine I was working on at home. I'll do my best to replicate it in the lab, I'm sure many of you will find it very useful here. It is highly resistant to heat and pressure. ... I suppose you could use it for an oven if you truly wanted. ... I'll have to keep that in mind...

Third Person: This sensation...

To anyone else, even a man of his growing age, a little stumble and fall like this was nothing. Just a little scrape on his knee. Most monsters didn't even bleed. It was nothing. A tick off the HP and nothing else, but here he sat, his hand cupped over the scrape, staring at the worn lines in his bone. What was this sensation. To feel again... Even if it was pain. His thumb rolled over the scrape, wondering at the mildly irritating burning feeling it left behind.

When there was nothing for centuries it felt... To feel something again. He chuckled weakly, dimly, going to haul his skinny frame off the ground and look for his cane, necessary after so long without real legs.

A shame the most noteworthy sensation he should get is pain. Maybe the most appropriate all things considered, but a shame nevertheless.

Maybe it was time he took a walk outside and enjoyed an environment that wasn't steel and linoleum. Some smell that wasn't chemicals and maybe set foot on something that wasn't reinforced with concrete and caged in rebar.

Maybe... He groaned as he leaned on the cane.

Maybe. But maybe first? He should restore his health a little.
